El Charcón's location makes it ideal for those seeking privacy and tranquillity away from crowded beaches. It is recommended to visit during high tide to enjoy the full volume of water in the pool.
   

How to get there

• By car: From the island's capital, Arrecife, take the LZ-1 motorway northwards. The journey will take about 25 minutes.
  
• By bus: There are buses from Arrecife to Arrieta. Once you arrive in Arrieta, the beach and seafront are within walking distance.

2. Cueva de los Verdes: Located 2 kilometres from Jameos del Agua. This cave is part of the same lava tunnel as Jameos del Agua and offers guided tours through impressive underground galleries, lit to emphasise their natural beauty. The cave also served as a refuge for locals during pirate raids.
   
3. Jardín de Cactus: Located in the village of Guatiza, about 10 kilometres south of Arrieta, this garden designed by César Manrique displays over 4,500 cacti from different parts of the world. The garden is located in an old volcanic ash quarry, which gives it a unique landscape design.
